I have not seen anyone argue Eruptor was meant to one shot chargers. Pretty much everyone would have been fine fixing that, it was removing the ability to one-shot hive commanders, stalkers, and bile spewers that really hurt.

For my playstyle you can take my plasma punisher out of my cold dead hands which doesn't even happen that often. It's really good against the bots in my opinion despite the devastator lack of effectiveness as it can stagger in an area which is great when you have three heavy devs coming at you that sort of thing.

they nerf my favourite gun to locker, so im srsly have no interest to play the game anymore.

I just did all of the objectives for these people on helldive while they were burning all of our lives started heading to extract and got kicked.

For bad today I have to disagree with the kind of sniper being c tier. Nitpicky but I'd say it's a solid b. The counter sniper is actually quite good at taking out devastators from a distance as it is more accurate than the AMR and very easy to one tap heads for maximum range. Where it suffers is on closer ranges and on the striders. I think it can be a good pairing with the Auto Cannon as it gives you a long range option.

Time was I said “I would have hit it differently” to the breaker. This was before AoE weapons (pre nerf) and before the sandbox had been DRASTICALLY changed (chain-cast breaches with triple contents, sextupled patrol rates and plating on higher difficulties rather than against mostly light armour) I originally thought it was a slug gun it was the very model of what I wanted from a shotgun. Then I see the others and realised it was a white elephant that just got snipped because the standardisation-guy couldn’t see the long term balance prospect for the difficulty 3-4 barely any medals in game yet shrubbery that was getting pruned. I generally agree in your liberator views tho IMO the liberator should be THE starting weapon, can do anything, ammo for days but it’s just that, the starting point, EVERYTHING thereafter should add to its base stats, reach out into the extremes or go an entirely different route to spreading managed democracy, one shell at a time. As to shotguns/DMR the shotguns spreads are still way too wide on average, this is a PvE game not PVP, doom/half-life should be the ago to for that type of weapon effectiveness, DMR have the opposite issue, they are pinpoint but can barely land a shot worth a damn while flinching like crazy under even light return fire and still struggle to get their aim on point fast enough given they barely have the damage of 2 bullets from the AR weapons. Knight kicks like a mule and has less ammo than the liberator.

I really hope they start putting in some primaries that kill big things, so we have more reason to use the LMG stratagems.

Going ham and mag dumping the Incendiary Breaker into a swarm of bugs, quick reloading, and being ready to pick off any stragglers that survive the inferno sure does feel good. Hope it doesn't get nerfed to hell.

Erupter is still pretty good, i like it alright but more for utility like fabricators and 2 shotting a strider every now and again. Basically its the dominator you bring when you dont want to grenade pistol

Is this still relevant after all the updates or only on smaller maps ? I tried one such level today, didn't find any samples bunch together

I very much agree with your tierlist (especially for solo high level play). But I do not agree with some decisions you've made. I can see why the Spray & Pray is higher than the normal Breaker (although I still like the normal Breaker more) but why is the Blitzer even higher up? It does not do enough damage and the bad things you said like not hitting an enemy even at a very short distance or corpses blocking the shots make this gun not as viable in my opinion. The standard SMG is also in no way better than the Breaker. I hate to see the Eruptor in last place but removing the shrapnel was the death blow for the weapon. No more shooting into a group of chaff and seeing most of it die, no more one-shotting bile spewers and no more killing bile titans shooting one singular shot into the sack in combination with an orbital railcannon strike 😭

Plas Pun is easy S/A tier vs bots.

I thought your tier list started off way too strict. And then I realised just how nuts the Jar5 is compared to the rest, and now it all makes sense.

The only one I disagree with is the slugger, I would put it lower than the punisher. Without stun it's rough

Punisher Plasma is A-tier, yes it doesn't do as much damage as Dominator, but you can be really far away, if you're against bugs you can clear an entire bug breach in 1 shot since splash damage is huge, bot drops, same things. So yeah medium enemies will take longer to kill but you can also clear almost all of them at the same time, personally I'd trade 3 shots extra for a complete clear. You can snipe tanks and hulk by shotting their vent FROM THE FRONT, it just requires getting good with it's arch. It does severely lack against flying enemies and hunters/stalkers since the splash damage will hit you as well, almost 1-shotting you.

eruptor closes bug holes at any range. that's the only reason I use it, specifically when my "primary" is something like the flamethrower. it kills spewers inconsistently too I guess

Could be a bias to my personal playstyle but the Diligence Counter Sniper is no less than a B tier for me. Medium armor pen and can one shot Devastators of any variation with an accurate headshot. Can one shot most enemies if you’re accurate and get the headshot

Erupter is good wdym??? Yes it's not great anymore, but it can still one shot on headshots against automatons, and against bugs if you aim under them they take full damage, which almost always one shots most bugs. It can also close bug holes and factories, should be at least C-tier for that alone.

I think it's important to keep in mind - Arrowhead is probably not balancing these guns based on Solo play. I'm not saying the balancing is perfect, but some of these guns are actually great when played in a squad.

I think you are seriously sleeping on the diligence counter sniper. If you change your playstyle to a longer range hit and run it is insane against bots. Also you can spam it up close with barely any recoil if you are in trouble

I like the hmg. Don’t use it on things it’s not designed for and remember that burst fire is your friend.

I think you are rating punisher plasma too low. I used to run Dominator + (mostly) AMR, but their usages overlapped too much. While it does kill devastators and berserkers slower, it has some advantages: Will plash stagger enemies if they are close. Kills the lower level enemies faster, especially if they are close together, plus you don't have to aim as carefully. You can aim straight in the middle of a heavy devastator's shield to stagger it. Two shots will kill a strider without having to aim carefully. You can even kill multiple striders at the same time this way. If there is a rise between you and the enemy, where you still see their upper part, you have fire at them like normal, while they just fire into the ground. So at least for me it's better for killing heavy devastators and striders, and for storming bases, than the Dominator. But worse against berserkers and worse at range.

Keep raking the guns over the coals. It's the only way to get them fixed. Just keep dragging them. They suck. We need Fixes. Asap

The new smg is much better then then you give it credit for the stagger on it is very good it may not do alot of dmg but it stunlock whatever your shooting keeping you nice and safe i was realling enjoying running it with the ballistic sheild back back and just stun locking all them devastators for my team. i know for you its less attractive because you solo play but as an effective team weapon its great. i could stand somewhere and provide cover for my team with the shield out stun locking things while they stand behind me heling to pick it or other things off.

the LMG and HMG need buffing cause there is literally no reason to take them when you can have an arc or quasar or railgun or autocannon

With marksman rifles it would be interesting to strip amour. Idk if that would work but interesting. It would give them a ability that would help support and it would promote good aim for those players that like that

i think the knight deserves more recognition that its gotten, having thoroughly used that gun a ton while i was starting out with the game, its damage is sizable. sure the base damage per shot is low but with its massive firing speed it does really solid dps for beginner players if you got good aim. i didnt want to use any other gun for awhile (until i unlocked the dominator of course)

Yea, that's also how I feel about the game. You need weapons to kill certain enemies quick, some weapons do that well, most don't. So in the end you pretty much always equip the same 2-3 weapons, because the others just don't do it.

I only use scorcher on bot missions. Its great. Not sure why its in B tier for u. Same thing for sickle. I would say those r def A if not S tier. Simply cos in the game now theres only 4 primaries to use: jar 5, sickle, incendiary breaker (my forever bug weap), and scorcher These imo r all S tier. The rest r no tier. Lol

Overall I agree, except for the diligence counter-sniper. I put that gun in S-tier vs bots, since it 1-shots the troopers and all small guys, and it 1-shot-headshots the devastators, and the magnification is really good and useful. EDIT: I have nothing but love for Dough, but omfg the dual wield idea sounds so goofy XD

Pretty on point. Only a couple things I'd contest: - I don't think the Liberator and the Liberator Penetrator deserve to be in the same tier. The base Lib is at least good at getting rid of light enemies ammo-efficiently at all ranges, whereas the Penetrator is a straight-up "noob trap" weapon (It sacrifices a bit of everything for the benefit of medium pen, but with the nerfed mag size _and_ damage it doesn't have the means to leverage that medium penetration ability, so it's a straight downgrade in practice) - The Knight is actually more like a Stalwart that's permanently stuck at max fire rate, with 1/5 the magazine capacity and worse recoil. It deals some pretty considerable burst and could actually be a viable weapon, if not for the pathetic ammo pool, and for the fact that the one-handed SMG features on it are incompatible with the most productive way of actually leveraging the fire rate/burst damage (firing from crouch/prone). - The Liberator Concussive is actually usable against bugs, but it still feels so boring that I'm not even going to bother making a case for it.

Me as a spear enthusiast watching this guy build the absolute worst possible strategem loadout for running the spear and then proceed to blame the spear the entire time

I can understand power of Jar, but my aiming skills (lack of them) don't let me use it anywhere close to effective. For me personally Scorcher is an S-tier against bots, cause u can just shoot into the silhouette and it just works! And sickle is an A tier cause with it giant mag and almost non existent recoil i can actually hit damn devastators in the face

I completly disagree with the counter sniper, you can litteraly take out everything on the bot side from distance in 1 shot except for hulks, striders and ships, S tier for sure if you have good aim.
